Childhood and Family History

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States, Lemon was born to parents Katherine Marie (mother) and Wilmon Lee Richardson (father). Don’s father, Richardson, was a well-known lawyer who successfully contested Baton Rouge’s segregation of public transit.
